Evolving Developmental Processes
Combining mathematical modelling, microscopy and comparative embryology to study the evolution of axial patterning.

We are an international group of interdisciplinary researchers working at the interface of Evolutionary and Developmental Biology, and Mathematical Biology.
Our goal is to understand the evolution of body plans. In particular, we work on zebrafish and Lake Malawi cichlids to understand the evolution of axial elongation and patterning.
The lab is based in the Department of Zoology and at the John Krebs Field Station, University of Oxford, UK.
